Off we go to visit Aunt Alissa and Uncle Matt in Portland, Oregon... what a BEAUTIFUL city. Love it, love it. So green, lush, laid back. Alissa and Matt's renovated home is absolutely gorgeous... it belongs in my favorite Domino Magazine if it only still existed! Alissa's style is effortlessly chic, and Matt makes a mean brat.
We had a wonderful time hiking in Forest Park, playing with their terrific dog, Satchmo, hiking up to the top of Mutnomah Falls, dining at a delicious restaurant called the Farm Cafe and chez King, wandering the Portland State Farmer's Market, enjoying the spectacular foliage and flowers, and we only have wonderful things to say about the good doctors at Emanuel Children's Hospital. Little Oregonian throat infection that caused a fever, vomiting, diar... (ok, too much information). We're all healed up.
