Two peas in a pod

Luke and I visited two of our favorite peopl in the universe while back in the Midwest for Christmas. We headed down to Chicago to visit Emily and Elizabeth, and as always had a marvelous time.

As only you do when you're from the Midwest, we took the kids to the zoo in the teens-degrees. It was so cold and E refused her mittens, her poor little hands were like icicles but there was no keeping those suckers on except maybe super glue and what would that do to her baton twirling career?

Checking out the apes... we will not be contained, said the kids. So much for those poor apes.

Who has ever laughed so hard at dinner than these two? Surely, it wasn't us downing our wine that was so funny.

Nicely sharing the baby doll and stroller. Does this mean L needs a stroller now? Since I returned the pink moon boots, perhaps it can be justified.

Tackling Miss Emily.

E and her fancy eyeglasses.

Peek a boo?

Wandering around Lincoln Park on another cold day, today with mittens, checking out the cool Illinois school buses. Now, if only we can devise a plan to live next door to one another... Daniel Island, Em?
