Welcome to Scottsdale...

With no overflowing diaper bag filled with crushed organic vanilla smiley faces, or 32 lb child (who I do love dearly) to lug around, and an extra hand for coffee and magazines, I happily hopped a plane to the desert and mountains with my pal Lisa to meet up with our Chicago counterpart Emily. The three of us make up old school (not old, heavens no) friends who can recount stories from preschool to high school, tales of crazy camp counselors, weddings, babies, and, well, just about anything we've ever been through in life.

Our last trip was to the sunny white sand beaches of trying to be perfect little Seaside, Florida. So we decided to head west to the mountains of Arizona for a little sun, quiet, yoga, wine, hiking, infinity pool, brainstorming of names for Baby M due in July, massage, more wine...

We're not a terribly vain group, but here is our only veto-free photo hiking the beautiful Cholla Trail. The sun shone every day, and (said with my best zen face) we lived in the present, soaking in the positive mountain energy surrounding our beings, appreciative of time spent together.

Namaste.
