My sister shared a superb idea to put oil cloth on a kids' table so it can be easily cleaned (or swapped out). I found this one online at Mendels in San Francisco. It came together quite nicely after a few hours of forced labor on Dan to build this small ikea table. I used a staple gun to attach the oilcloth. I now have orders never to buy anything at Ikea that needs to be put together. (fabric ok, phew).
