Luke's love for Lightning McQueen and outdoor push vehicles came together in sheer bliss today with this new purchase by yours truly, sucker mom. Dan put it together for him last night (resembled an ikea purchase, good price, angry husband with tools banging the hammer into plastic swearing under his breath). But it was all worth it, Dan, as Luke was so happy this morning when we went outside to get some early morning runs in with L McQ. He kept saying Daddy put on wheels, and wore a perma-smile... a smile not unlike those of the Disney Cars creators, kicking back on their private island from all the dough they're amassing off of suckers like me.
This morning I woke up to Luke yelling, "Mommy, garbage truck!" - the garbage guys were sure enough rolling down our cul-du-sac at 7 a.m. I bolted out of bed grabbed him and ran downstairs - after all it would be a sin to miss the garbage mens' arrival on Wednesdays. Akin to me missing an episode of Gossip Girl.
Though a shout out to new show Chicago Code (Mondays at 9p) - love finding shows both Dan and I can watch.
