Happy 3rd birthday to our sweet friend, Annabelle!
Her mom Miss Katie out-did herself with her Candyland Decor - it was fabulous!
Luke not only got to celebrate Belle's birthday over the weekend, but he welcomed a special visitor from Wisconsin, Grandpa Jimbo. (if you ask Luke where Grandpa Jimbo lives, though, he will say "with Miss Paula.")
Luke loved swapping hoops stories and skills with Grandpa Jimbo, who enlightened him all about back in the day playing at Northwestern and rippin' it up with all the cops, judges and lawyers on the court when he was a public defender. Luke's biggest takeaway - "swisheroo!"
Friday and Sunday turned out to be beautiful days, so we hit the backyard for hoops, trekked down to Burke Lake, and wandered around the neighborhood checking out the flowers and birds.
Action shot from downtown.
Picnicing at Burke Lake - watch out of the "gooses!" Luke was not a fan, but as my dad and I commented, neither would you if a goose the size of you started waddling up to you!
And Luke on the "scoots" - he is obsessed with his orange scooter and has picked up more speed each time he uses it. I swear you can barely see him zoom past he's so quick. Finally got him to wear the helmut, thanks to Dan. We love this scooter, thanks to Cate G. for the find!
Miss you, Grandpa Jimbo. Hard to believe that next time we see you, you'll have two more grandchildren!! (and that would be one for my sister Alissa and one for me!)
