I caved and finally got Luke a haircut - not his first, but it was time. The bangs were in his face and the tail was starting to re-appear. I thought taking him to a spot where he could sit in a fire engine, watch Diego playing on the tv, and have a sucker would do the trick, but alas, not so much. He squirmed and cried. But at least he stayed strapped into the fire truck instead of me giving him a body lock!
He looks pretty handsome if I do say so myself. Kidville's salon up in Bethesda - it's a great spot and I'll definitely take him there again. Don't be fooled by the smiling little girl on the website... I'm thinking I should send in this one so at least parents know not to always expect a shiny, happy, quiet experience!

The reward was a visit to Imagination Stage with Miss Cate... it was marvelous. Highly, highly recommend to my local friends a visit. We saw Aquarium, playing through Feb. 6, and will absolutely go again for the next show that starts in Feb. The kids were captivated, and it was just interactive enough to keep their attention, enable them to be involved, and to use their imaginations!
Below is Luke eating his "color changer" M&Ms for dessert in his PACKER gear - super bowl bound, baby. He is obsessed with color changer Cars, which he takes in the bathtub. Parental involvement is rated high, because the cars change colors based on being hot or cold. So you have to sit and hold a cold cup of water near the bath so they can dunk. But it is worth it for ease of entrance into the bath!
I bought valentine's M&Ms, so since they were pink, red, and white - not the normal M colors, he dubbed them color changers. I sat at the table with him just laughing and laughing to myself (while Dan sipped mojitos in Miami - for work). Which is why now that Luke is asleep I am going to shop online. Ha ha.

i feel totally cheated. i bought isaac a color changer and it's a lemon!
