We returned to Wisconsin for a snowy, cold Christmas, just as we had hoped for. Clears the head and rejuvenates the soul. And a great feat getting a 2 year old dressed and willing to wear a hat, mittens, and boots. Only took about half a dozen tries!
Fist pumping with Uncle Josh (and that dang cat, sorry Paula, it's not her, it's me), on break from Year 3 of med school. He delivered babies last month!
10 year old Cassie in her famous "meditation" pose.
Luke helping Auntie Lis open gifts for the baby at her baby shower. She's having a boy! We are thrilled to welcome another dude into the family, and can't wait for him to be so close in age to his cousin and big cousin Luke!
Success! All bundled up playing in the snow. Decided the trick was buying up a size in the boots.
Does this kid like cars or what? Obsessed. He is lucky to play with his dad and Uncle Mike's old cars from when they were kids. They even remember who's were who's. Luke loves to name the cars on the street - favorite being the Mercedes, followed by toyota, ford, BMW, nissan, infiniti (followed by, like Miss Katie's car), jeep - like daddy's, he says, jeep wrangler... hey, we all need a passion in life to keep us ticking.
A little love from a Santa-clad Uncle Josh.
And zooming trucks up and down the hallway, it never seemed to get old.
An attempt to take a photo with his cousins wearing their Badger gear from Grandma and Grandpa. You might notice an adult in the photo hiding, ah that would be me. I am wondering if there is a class to take on getting your two year old to sit still and not freak out for photos. We can't wait to welcome the newest member (#5) of the other Roehl clan this Friday! Uncle Josh and his friend Marie dressed in Goodwill apparel to bring some cheer to our festivities... a pastime of Marie's native Canada. If they both weren't so cute they might actually look funny!
Luke trying on a little Santa gear... we avoided the big man this year, on the very strong assumption this young man would not find sitting on the lap of a bearded fat guy so jolly.
Laughs for Auntie Lis - before making an attempt to find her belly button!
Whoa! Presents!
Daddy gets some, too?!
Posing with beloved Grandma.
And hugs from lovely Auntie Lis.
Opening up presents at Grandpa Jimbo and Paula's wearing vintage Uncle Josh circa 1984.
Pausing for a little adult guy fun of snowball chucking.
Come on, man, smile!
Ah, there's the smile. On pause from Mt. Kilimanjaro stories, Luke got Grandpa Jimbo to play the spitting game with him.
With cool Uncle Matt, soon to be DADDY!
The gang (again, suggestions on child posing?), before Matt and Josh ventured to Lambeau. Note Jimbo's fave Kili shirt.
On a refreshingly cold walk with Grandpa Jimbo and Cass.
Loving snow and keeping the snow gear on!
With Grandpa Jimbo.
Dad with his two preggo girls. Pretty cool. And pretty sure our angel up above had something to do with it.
